A charity has offered to take thousands of shoes dumped on the Palmetto Expressway.
Soles4Souls, in Nashville, is sending representatives to collect the shoes. The group will distribute them to people in Haiti, according to a news release.
A private contractor was hired to pick up the shoes and deposit them in an empty field.
Maybe look for the hapless driver in little Haiti?
The irony is not lost here when thousands of shoes dropped on the "palmetto (bug) MDX"
will likely make a truck trek to Tennessee then back to the swamp only to be boarded on a slow boat to big Haiti.
