I saw and heard many originators of rap (graffiti) in and around NY where Charlie Ahearn filmed the movie Wildstyle a tale of anonymity and fame set at home in an urban wasteland. From GrandMasterFlash to FabFiveFreddie and Keith Haring those were the days of gestation for the american culture of rap and graffiti that today permeates all the worlds downtrodden, in need of a holiday.
