blogger legend signs-off

For nearly decade the South Florida Daily Blog has been a mainstay of connectedness for a homely base of internet publishers and their mélange of readers residing in the swamp and beyond.  As the title suggests and with startling regularity the SFDB delivered daily comprehensive relevant analysis reflecting an anthropologic view of our strengths and weaknesses.  Furthermore the SFDB did a spanking job of watching the watchers in daily sifts of the mainstream media.  For those who favor the fun stuff, SFDB covered an encyclopedia of topics, from music to manure and sports to spaghetti.  One might say surely there is an office filled with geeks somewhere in Broward but the truth is the SFDB was the work of just one person with a near socratic understanding of how to best serve the swamp.

Congratulations to Rick.

Take a well deserved respite from them darn computers.

SFDB 1903

Congratulations to SouthFloridaDailyBlog.

Like an automatonic editorial dredge, SFDB has stood sentry over the sifting of under-reported anthropological relevance from a myriad of scrap on the web.

From it's tumultuous gestation- stuck on the expressways in the swamp, to the garage bugler of nuanced local web publishing SFDB continues a legacy of dedicated googling work. This grape-vine site is updated more often than the Herald but less often than Fark.

Rick's is the preeminent Go-To Place for ranting, ruminating, vacillating, commiserating and sometimes consternating personal blog journal entries from Miami. Rick's place is up and running with the one year mark in the rear view mirror.

How would SFDB like a Vintage Truck for his First Birthday.
Compliments of swampstyle.

Joe the Dumber

Dirty Jobs Guy, a real american hero.

Being a republican operative/plant is a dirty job, but there are plenty of idiots to choose from out there. The McCain Palin campaign is obviously desperate, they see the writing on the blogs.

A true american hero:
Art Carney the consummate sewage engineer in the Honeymooners.

Now, I'm no plumber but i can sweat copper pipe better than repug joe, no problem.
Real plumbers out there should be outraged.

The corporate media is just running the narrative sound bite, the facts are lost in the channel-changer. This crap is too good to be true, but it is. Should we take it seriously, you betcha!

The Backed-Up Boys (aka plumbers union) should be pissed off about this recent McCain stunt, it is preposterous. What could possibly be next? just ask jane the janitor?

Thanks Rick. ... from a whisper to a roar.
