Cheney, Toronto and thong bikinis

Mr Goef Yourself

While XVP Dick Cheney makes news in his coagulated retirement from global devastation , he is recovering from a gunky ticker perhaps in Dubai or Uruguay. As the current leaders of the sick world gather north of the border in radical Toronto Canada for the G-8 Gee-20 Summit, there is little sympathy here for Cheneys neo-con job war machine legacy as once ceo of oil dragon Helliburton.

Mr. I don't care about history

At the same time ex prez Gee W Bushed, another oily magnate, is nowhere near Maple Leafland pow-wow. Where is he exactly, why are these guys, who trashed america bigtime, so absent from the scrutiny of the press? Is it exactly this kind of "forward bygones thinking" that lets major league blundering criminals so off the hook. Can we accept the wacky Rumsfeld defense of the "unknown unknown" disclaimer? The answer is an anosgonosic yeah.

Can You Cannuk?

Canadians pride themselves on their maple syrup, civility and living north of the political demarcation that separates them from Amerikkka. They think we are crazed violent haters and we think they are slow frozen fruities. But the one thing we have in common is the onslaught of globalization, of the not so newworldorder that creepy papa Bush Sr. lauded with silent alarm years ago.

Lawful Assembly

As i write this canadian civilians are showing us how it is done, assembling their flesh and bones en mass at delineated public spaces in a show of solidarity and grave concern for a myriad of serious unresolved world-class economic and human rights problems. Thus far 500 people have been arrested.

Park Your Mouth Over There

But Canadadian activists are not much different than their American counterparts when it comes to standing up to the progress of oppression. One Montreal-based activist, Stefan Christoff, has come under harassment from the Canadian intelligence agency, CSIS.

Taking Our Leader to the Leaders

Being now the establishment, our Obama must play the part of tough leader of the free world and cool guy. He is the best we got to sit down with his political peers. He needs to be kept safe to solve every last single problem and future problems, one summit at a time.

Here are just a few pictures of Toronto "little people" and their robocops courtesy of Cryptome:

Oops, how did this candid of our state leader get in here!

swampspace the un-gallery

IS ONE YEAR OLD

It is a matter of fact that many things have been discussed at my studio in the design district. Someone once said the place is the heart of the hood. Maybe so but for me it feels more like an appendage, people could do without. Even though a purpose may be illusive, coincidence is fate and persistence has merit. Another visitor expressed the math equation 365 X 80 = a measly 29,200 or not a big number by todays figures. Turns out that sum is the amount of days in a good life expectancy, or at least a long one. Geeb! make Every Day count... even the ones we squander in the pursuit of idling.

BORDELLO BODEGA
the genesis

So it is that we mark one year to the day when swampspace gallery opened its doors. The place was conceived at a time of certainty when all that prime swamp-estate needed was a name and willing appreciators. Google has graciously and automotronically stepped up to cement this occasion with their support of a new blog devoted to swampspace, the venue, its events, ambitions and accreditation.

first a word from our sponsor

What better than to have your sweat equity and futility parley beyond gestation and have an idea grow legs, take flight and stand alone.

Swampstyle will just have to get used to blogger's ENS - Empty Nest Syndrome.

Our Father, Who Art in Heaven

Hallowed be Thy Name;
Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
Amen.

The only thing worse than a dead father is an absent one.

Dade Disparities Abound

Dig This, Dude

Miami 2010 - We are getting one of these italian diggers to build a tunnel under the swampy port of miami ... costs only 1 crazzilion.

No Walls About It

Miami 2011 - We are also getting one of these to house an art collecting institution... costs little over 2 cazzilions.

Raise the Roof High

Miami 2012 - We are also getting one of these bowls for the lawful assembly of paying riotous sports tribes... costs 3 crazzilions give or take a million.

Money Ain't a Thing

Miami 2013 - The public money is from the county's $2.9 billion Building Better Communities general obligation bond program, which is earmarked for everything from renovating local libraries and renourishing beaches to providing $100 million for the art museum and $175 million for the science museum -- the two new museums are the largest projects on the list.

Wait a Minute

Miami 2013 - Admittedly there are pockets of very nice neighborhoods here; from fabulous celebrity homes n grandiose condo towers to respectable middle class adobes, places we can be proud of. But there are also plenty of the often avoided and depressed hoods in a suburbanscape of mediterranean shanty.

Orange Bowl 2 - the cuban colloseum

Miami 2014 - It is worth noting that few activists were more vocal with cautious alarm than Norman Brahman who called for fairness in disbursements from gangs of deliberating elected officials decided to create a 'public debt/private profit' project. With moneys that did not exist morphed into expenditures, years of continued disparity for balanced urban development has been assured.

Bulk Pick-up Canceled

Miami 2015 - It is sad to drive around the construction site of the new stadium. The neighborhood can not be more depressed.

Señora Sindinero

Miami 2016 - This lady appreciates any help with next month's rent...

Miami Cacharro

Miami 2017 - This driver's car needs some auto work, but he's gotta feed his family first.

The disparities may be perfectly legal but are they fiscally sound in these strenuous times?
